The Greens

Pour mon anniversaire, ma famille m’a invité dans ce qu’il m’ont décrit comme le meilleur restaurant végétarien de la ville. Sur ce point je ne pourrais pas m’exprimer, mais en tout cas c’était effectivement très bon et il parait qu’il est même dans les recommandations du Michelin alors bon! Le Greens est situé dans le quartier de la Marina au fort Mason, un ancien bâtiment datant de 1912 et appartenant à l’armée américaine. L’extérieur n’a donc rien de très attractif, mais une fois que l’on pénètre dans le lieu l’ambiance est vraiment agréable et chic, avec une vue magnifique sur le port, surtout en fin de journée. Avec un peu de chance vous verrez bien nager une ou deux otaries pendant votre repas.

La cuisine y est donc végétarienne et savoureuse, le service souriant et impeccable vraiment je n’ai rien à reprocher à cet endroit.  Les produits sont bio, frais et locaux ce qui est un énorme plus pour me faire aimer un endroit. Bien sur, pour les petites bourses, ce n’est pas la meilleurs des adresses que je puisse vous recommander et j’avoue ne pas avoir fait très attentions aux prix (qui de souvenirs restaient tout de même très raisonnables). Après n’oublions pas que nous sommes à SF, la ville la plus chère des Etats Unis et honnêtement au vu de la qualité des produits et de la cuisines proposés, les tarifs indiqués sont tout à fait cohérents.For my birthday, my host family invited me in, what they described, as the best vegetarian restaurant in town. Even though I cannot say much on this particular point, it appears that it is in the Michelin recommendations and the food was really good. It’s located in the Marina district at Fort Mason, an old building of the early 19′ belonging to the US military. Although the facade isn’t quite attractive, the atmosphere in the inside is really pleasant and sophisticated, providing a magnificient view on the port, especially in the evening. You can even see some sea lions if you are lucky enough.

The food is vegetarian and tasteful, the service smiling and on point, I have nothing against this place. The products are organic, fresh and home-grown which make me found of this restaurant. However, this is not the best place to eat if you are short on money, even though i did not pay a lot of attention to the prices (which were quite fair from memories). But we must keep in mind that this is San Francisco, the most expensive city in the US, and honestly, based on the quality of both the products and the food , the prices were coherent.
